At Least 20 Dead in Pakistani Traffic Blast

At least 20 people have been killed and many others injured in a car bomb in the northwestern Pakistan town of Charsadda, police said. The attack took place at a busy ttraffic intersection in the town which lies north-east of Peshawa.

More than 300 people have been killed in a wave of attacks as Pakistani troops launched an assault against the Taliban south of Waziristan. The blast also destroyed many nearby buildings and vehicles, District Polce Khan said.

The blast has put fear in the people of the area since the blast has become very rampant and can happen at any place. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
